Choose to Smooth with Venus Gillette

Another Influenster VoxBox! This time it's the Glam Box! My favorite thing they included inside was Venus Gillette razors (2!) and some Venus Olay shaving cream. Considering I'm a new mama (she's already 6 months!), I don't have much time to, well, shave. These razors and shaving cream made it super easy to get a nice clean shave in just a few minutes.  My only complaint is that I like the razor refills better. They seem to last longer (the refills last me about a month, while the disposable lasted a week), plus it's less waste and better for the environment.  Overall, I only shave with Venus Gillette (always have!) due to their 5 blade awesomeness. #ChoosetoSmooth

Influenster Campus VoxBox in Detail: St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub

A separate post just for St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub...as per request of Influenster.  We had never heard of this brand before trying it in the Influenster Campus VoxBox. My husband has mainly been using the Apricot Scrub as luckily I don't have much acne at the moment. He, on the other hand, is less fortunate in the acne department. This review is mainly coming from his opinions on the Scrub. What I have noticed is that acne has mainly centered in his T-zone now and is off the checks and chin area. Definitely a huge improvement! The acne is also not bright red, but a pinkish color (less inflamed) so it's certainly less noticeable. I personally did not like the smell. It did not smell sweet to me, which I prefer.

My husband says the Scrub is really good because "it helps his face and makes his face smell nice." It's easy to use and you don't have to use much for one wash. He would recommend the product to people who need help clearing up their acne.

Basically, it works well for us!

Influenster Campus VoxBox

Wow was this VoxBox great! Now, you know I'm only going to tell you honest reviews. This VoxBox was a real winner and for one main reason - Sour Punch! The VoxBox included Rainbow Sour Punch straws and little balls of SourPunchnes called Punchies. The rainbow straws were delicious. There were 5 yummy sour flavors. Basically there's the sour powder on the outside of the straw and the straw itself is sweet. My absolutely favorite candy ever (even before I got this VoxBox)!!! They're also kosher-certified, by Star-K, so you know there's no pork gelatin in there for anyone that may be concerned about that. The Punchies were also quite tasty. They were hard on the outside and chewy in the center. Overall, very good, but not as much deliciousness as the SourPunch Straws.

As for other items in the VoxBox, I received, a SoftLips Cube, JERGENS® Natural Glow® Instant Sun Tanning Mousse, a sample of L'Oreal Paris Advanced Straightening System, and St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub.

The SoftLips Cube is a lip balm that comes in a cube rather than a traditional tube. It was a peppermint flavor (white in color). It helped my lips to be less chapped, but stung them quite a bit. I think it was the flavor that ended up hurting my lips. Perhaps a less harsh flavor would be better.

I've yet to use the L'Oreal Paris Sample. Usually L'Oreal has great smelling products. I personally prefer Dove, though, as it's gentler on the skin. Due to eczema, I've been recommended to only use Dove products as they moisturize the skin best, so I don't venture outside the brand often.

Haven't used the Tanning Mousse as I'm ok with being super white (and I mean I'm pale!). As for the Apricot Scrub, more to come on that soon! Look for a new post all about that Apricot Scrub.

So overall, you really have to try Sour Punch Straws! Seriously, though! They aren't sold a lot of places, but they are available at Walmart. Any flavor is great, but the Rainbow one is amazing due to so many different flavors.

Smiley360 Review!

Smiley360 is a great website that sends free full-sized products to test out and give your opinion on. There are just a couple basic demographic questions to fill out when you sign up originally (age, gender, marital status, etc.). Then on your main page you get surveys every so often (maybe once a week) to see if you can qualify to test products.  There is something for everyone!  There's plenty for both men and women, young and old.  Products can be food, medicine and health items, cleaning products, books, pet needs, toys, and so much more! I tend to get about 1 item per month.

When you receive the product, they ask you to review it on their website, post about it on Facebook and Twitter, and tell your friends! It's easy things you probably do already when you get a great (or not so great) new product from the store.  The company even looks at your reviews to help make the product better!

If you have 5 minutes a week to devote to Smiley360, I would highly recommend it.  You'll get some fun products to try and tell everyone about :)

Scott Naturals Tube-Free Bathroom Tissue from Crowdtap

Yet another great sampling opportunity from Crowdtap!  I was sent a four pack of Scott's Naturals Tube-Free Toilet Paper in the mail.

I love that this toilet paper is tubeless!  It saves energy to make and to recycle the tube.  I never realized how unnecessary the tube is!  The toilet paper was easy to put on the toilet paper holder.  At the end of the roll, the toilet paper took on a square shape, but otherwise was the same as any other toilet paper.

On to the toilet paper itself, I found it to be quite thin (1-ply), so more was needed to use than with other brands. The paper was also rough and uncomfortable.  I personally would not buy this toilet paper again due to the quality.  I hope that other brands, though, start to make toilet paper tubeless, so as to reduce waste.

Zep Quick Clean Disinfectant AND the Zep All-Around Oxy Cleaner and Degreaser from Crowdtap

Crowdtap is another great website where you can get free samples! You simply sign up at crowdtap.com. Then, they'll send you emails when you can apply for product samples with a short survey. They e-mail you back a few days later saying whether you get to try the product. I was approved to try both the Zep Quick CLean Disinfectant and the Zep All-Around Oxy Cleaner and Degreaser. I was given five small bottles total, so I could share with family and friends.

The Zep Quick Clean Disinfectant is an anti-bacteria cleaner, meaning it can even kill staph! I personally do not use anti-bacteria cleaners often as I feel they are not necessary in my home (I don't run a high risk of getting staph) and they may cause bacteria to become more resistant. I chose to use this product on my meat counter, as I want that to be very clean (for obvious reasons). It required very few sprays to have a clean and shiny counter. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. This product is extremely useful if you have a person in your home who is at high risk of staph (ex. a wrestler).

The Zep All-Around Oxy Cleaner and Degreaser was able to get out my toughest stove stains without a problem. I just sprayed it on, barely scrubbed, and it came right off. AMAZING! I'm definitely buying this product again, as it lowers my use of elbow grease ;)
